Dance

Dancing has always been a love of mine for as long as I can remember. I started taking when I was 3 years old and continued taking into my early collegiate career. I danced on the competition team for many years where I got to travel around the world. Of all the styles I have done, tap is my favorite. I have taught for 10 years and the last 6 have been for Hawthorne. I love having a place where we can teach children a different form of worship.

Psalm 149:3 says “let them praise his name with dancing” and I think we rarely do in our society. It’s also refreshing to have a dance home where the costumes and dancing will be honoring to God. Dance can be a wonderful thing and I think our culture has gotten so far from that. Sharing the love of dance with these precious girls and showing them that they can use a different form of worship than what they are used to, is so exciting.
