Faith Walker

Voice and Beginning Piano

Faith Walker is a mezzo-soprano based in Huntsville, Alabama. She began her musical journey playing the flute in her dad’s homeschool band and began taking voice lessons in high school. She continued taking lessons and singing in choirs throughout college. Her collegiate journey began at Calhoun Community College as a member of the Calhoun Chorale.

In spring 2021, Faith earned her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from Auburn University. During her time at Auburn, she was a member of the Auburn University Chamber Choir and the Opera Workshop. She performed the role of The Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas. She also performed in a scenes program as Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte and in the ensemble in Le nozze di Figaro. She also had the opportunity to travel to Ireland with the AU Chamber Choir.

In spring 2023, Faith earned her Master’s degree in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance from East Carolina University. During her time at ECU, she was a member of the East Carolina University Chamber Singers. In May 2022, the ECU Chamber Singers recorded their second album Silence and Music, in collaboration with multi-Grammy-winning producer Blanton Alspaugh. Faith had the privilege of being a part of this project. In May 2023, she had the opportunity to travel to New York City with the ECU Chamber Singers. Faith was also a member of the ECU Opera Theatre. She performed the role of Augusta Tabor in The Ballad of Baby Doe and The Abbess in Suor Angelica. She also performed in the ensemble in The Pirates of Penzance.

Faith teaches general music to grades K-8 at Decatur Heritage Christian Academy. She also sings with the group Valley Consort, a 17-voice choral ensemble based in Huntsville.

In addition to classical solo and choral singing, Faith enjoys singing in the jazz genre. She enjoys performing with the jazz duo A Mellow Tone. Some of her favorite songs include Cry Me a River, Fly Me to the Moon, Agua de Beber, The Girl from Ipanema, Mood Indigo, More Than You Know, Sunday Kind of Love, and Lullaby of Birdland.



Faith enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, embracing new experiences, drinking coffee, going on walks, and listening to podcasts.
