Michelle Bauer – Hawthorne Conservatory Director

A native of Huntsville, Michelle has been teaching music for more than 25 years. She received her Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Middle Tennessee State University in 1992 and her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance with an emphasis in Vocal Pedagogy from Louisiana State University in 1995. Michelle has had the privilege of working with several talented choral directors and opera conductors as well as performing in many professional roles such as “Pamina” in Die Zauberflöte, “Lauretta” in Gianni Schicchi, and soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah.

Michelle believes that as a musician it is an honor to help nurture and encourage the arts. God has given to many a talent and a desire to express themselves in music. Music is a gift, and “To those whom much is given, much is required”.  Michelle is excited about the ministry of Hawthorne and the impact it may have on the hearts of students and families.
